Outlander season 7: What lies ahead for Jamie and Claire in the upcoming season?

Its been almost a year since the last season of Outlander streamed and ever since then the fans have been desperate to know how the story unfolds and what the creators have for them in store. We now finally have answers to some of your questions regarding the release of season seven.

When will Outlander season 7 release?

It was announced by Starz in December 2022 that the season seven will release during the summer of 2023. It is still a couple of months before we get to see Jamie, played by Sam Heughan and Claire, played by Caitriona Balfe, back on our screen.

The teaser for seventh season was recently dropped which featured Jamie telling Claire about a dream. He describes a light he sees in his dream around his wife, Claire. He says that it is not candle or fire light, that must be what electric light looks like.

Claire, who time-traveled from 20th century wonders how can someone recognise something before seeing it ever in their life. In a rather simple answer, Jamie replies, “I dream of the past. Why would I not dream of the future?” The teaser also included one scene where the couple is happily sharing the bed.

What to expect from Outlander season 7?

The trailer and the previous seasons have made it clear that the upcoming season will not be all about romance. The American Revolution is in full swing with a notice about the Declaration of Independence being ripped down.

The sixth season ended with Claire getting arrested for murder and Jamie goes on his quest to find his wife. In an interaction with US Weekly, Heughan revealed that the upcoming season will pick up from shortly after the end of the last season, which has served as a great cliffhanger.

How many episodes will Outlander season 7 have?

After an abbreviated sixth season, the next season will have a whopping 16 episodes. This will make it the longest season in the series, tying with the first one.
