That 90’s Show is Netflix original series which is a sequel to popular series That 70’s Show. The series is directed by Gail Mancuso and written by Gregg Mettler, Bonnie Turner, Lindsey Turner, and Terry Turner.
The show has set the plot in 1995 where Leia Forman is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with new generation of Point Place WI, kids under stern of Red and watchful eye of Kitty.
The renewal status for That 90’s Show:
As of February 1, 2023, the streaming giant is yet to reveal if the show is renewed for new seasons. However, reports have suggested that is affirmative that the series will be renewed for future seasons.
The upcoming month is pretty crucial for the show, as it has just landed on Netflix and viewing data and other factors will decide its fate.
How well is That 90’s Show performing?
Since That 90’s Show has a shorter runtime, it will likely come down to how big of a drop the show sees with the hours watched instead of raw numbers. Looking at the stats, the show has been streamed for more than 26 million hours between January 22 to January 29. However, this shows a drop as the previous week i.e. January 15 to January 22, the series was streamed for more than 41 million hours.
It is worth noting that the show has managed to stay in the Netflix Top 10 for two straight weeks, which is beyond what any other show of the same genre have been able to achieve such as Upshaws, Mo, Blockbuster. As a result, the streaming giant’s track record with comedy series hasn’t been strong, thus meaning that the bar for renewal is lower than before.

Leia and her parents live in Chicago, which makes the drive of few hours in order to reach Point Place. This means that for Leia to spend significant time at Point Place, she will need to wait till Spring Break, Christmas, or Summer Vacation. The 90’s witnessed lot of changes with trends, so we expect many changes each time Leia visits the Point Place.
