Since the first season of Heartstopper have ended on such an exciting cliffhanger, the viewers have been eager to know what do the creators have for them in the upcoming seasons. The last episode of the first season titled ‘Boyfriend’ showed us boys and girls meeting up for Sports Day. Charlie is on the verge on ending things with Nick, while Elle and Tao share a special moment.
The viewers have been wondering when to expect the release of upcoming season. If you are one of those fans, we have bad news for you. However, we have compiled a summary on what to expect from upcoming season and when it expect its release.
When will Heartstopper Season 2 release on Netflix?
Even though we know for sure that Heartstopper will return with its new seasons, we do not know when it will premier as Netflix has remained mummed regarding the same. If you recall, the series was renewed for season two and three in May, 2022. The production for the second season was wrapped up in early December of the same year. It seems that it might be too soon for the streaming giant to drop the series in February as there haven’t been enough time for the post-production stage.
If we were to speculate, we can expect the series to drop at Netflix during the early months of 2023, so it won’t be long before the series return to our screens.
Heartstopper Season 2: What to expect?
The LGBTQ+ series is based on the novel by Alice Oseman of the same name. The story revolves around Nick and Charlie’s high school friendship and shows how turned into something more.
The plot for the upcoming seasons haven’t been released yet but we are sure to expect a new playlist to listen on repeat mode. It is expected that the upcoming season will have even more heart-stopping moments than the first one.
Cast and Crew: Heartstopper Season 2
It has been announced that new characters will be joining the series. It includes Bel Priestley as Naomi and Ash Shelf as Felix, both will play the friends of Elle. Also, Thibault de Montalembert is expected to join as Stephane, Nick’s father. Leila Khan as Higgs student Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Nima Taleghani as Truham teacher Mr. Farouk and Bradley Riches will return as Truham student James McEwan.
The cast who are expected to reprise their roles are Chetna Pandya, Fisayo Akinade, Alan Turkington, and Olivia Colman.
