Sex Education is confirmed to return with season 4. What are the major changes among the cast?
Sex Education will be returning for its fourth installment but it won’t be until mid-2023 at the absolute earliest, so we’ll have to wait a little more than expected before we return to Moordale Secondary School. The show debuted on Netflix in January, 2019, and its third season was released in September, 2021.
There has been a lot going on with the upcoming season as many of the cast will not be returning and some main actors, such as Emma Mackey and Ncuti Gatwa, has expressed their wish to leave the show post the season 4.
When will Sex Education Season 4 release on Netflix?
Sex Education has been consistent with the time gap it keeps in between the two seasons as it has delivered one season each year since 2019. However, the streak will now be broken as the season four will be releasing in 2023, while its previous season was released in 2021.
The reports had suggested that the series planned to began its production in July 2022, but it was later confirmed that it went on grounds in August 2022. The filming took place in Wales, United Kingdom, with budget of $3 to $5 million per episode. The production was wrapped up in February 2023, which means we can expect the series to hit the streaming giant during summer of 2023.

Among the new cast members, Dan Levy has confirmed to feature in the upcoming season as Thomas Molloy, a famous author who happens to be Maeve’s course tutor while she attends an Ivy League College in USA.
