Spider-Man to have spinoff series: Live action series with new character under production
Spider-Man to be seen in a never-seen-before avatar. The animated series to be produced by Amazon.
We have some amazing news for all the Spiderman fans. A new live-action TV series is in development which won’t be like any other spinoff series we have seen before. The series will revolve around Spider-Man Noir, a character plucked from the comics that we’ve only seen glimpses of previously.
As per the reports by Deadline, the series is set in its own universe which will follow a more godly and worldly superhero. The plot has been set during the 1930s of New York City, when the Great Depression had struck.
As mentioned before this will be the first time we will see the character of Spider-Man noir, but we has seen his glimpse before. In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, we saw a handful of alternate universes of Spideys and witnessed Nicolas Cage lending his voice to the animated character.
On being asked about his future with the animated character, the actor stated that he has no idea. “I love Spider-Man Noir too. I think that’s a great character. Spider-Man’s the coolest superhero. And then you combine that with Cagney and Bogart and Edward G Robinson, come on. It’s a great character.”
Indeed the character is a great one and the live-action will only make it cooler. Amazon is bringing the new product to production in partnership with Oren Uziel as director and writer. Stay tuned for any more updates.
