Tehran renewed for season three after Hugh Laurie join the star cast of Apple TV+ series

Apple TV+ gives greenlight for the third season of Tehran. The upcoming season will also feature Hugh Laurie among new cast members.

Apple TV+ announces renewal for Tehran as it confirms the return of its season three with Hugh Laurie. The Night Manager and House, MD star has joined the star cast of Israeli spy thriller. The actor will be playing the role of South African nuclear inspector and join the ensemble of new cast which includes Sasson Gabai, Bahar Pars and Phoenix Raei. Apart from them, Niv Sultan, who plays the role of Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan along with Sahun Toub and Shila Ommi will be reprising their roles from previous season.

The show follows Sultan as a hacker agent who infiltrates Iran’s capital Tehran under a false identity. The upcoming season by Apple TV+ will be showing the story of Tamar and how she tries to find a way to reinvent herself and win back Mossad’s support.

The series is directed by Daniel Syrkin and created by Dana Eden, Moshe Zonder, and Maor Kohn. Eden and Shula Spiegel are the executive producer for Donna and Shula Productions, Julien Leroux for Paper Entertainment, Alon Aranya for Paper Plane Productions, Peter Emerson for Cineflix Studios, Tony Saint, Zonder, Dari Shai Slutzky, Tal Fraifeld, and Syrkin for Kan.

Apple TV+’s head of international program, Morgan Wandell, stated that the team is excited to have Hugh Laurie on board along with the new star cast members as they are all working towards a new storyline to make the upcoming season unforgettable.
