Every season, we saw Joe Goldberg take on a new location for his quest of obsession. In season 1, we him stalking Beck on the streets of New York. He fell for his then-wife Love Quinn in Los Angeles in season 2. He later moved to Californian suburb with Love in season 3. For season 4, it seems like Joe is out of American cities as he moved to London in order to leave his criminal life and behind and of course to find true love.

You is so popular that the latest season had to be released in two parts with second part releasing on March 9, 2023. Keeping that in mind, here’s what we know regarding season 5 of the fictional serial murder killer.

Will there be season 5 of You?

As of February, 2023, Netflix is yet to announce the season 5 of hit series You. We still have to look forward to season 4 part 2, and only then it can be decided of the series has any potential for a new season.

Ahead of You season 3, co-creator Sera Gamble told The Hollywood Reporter that they could definitely follow Joe for several more seasons. Discussing further on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Penn Badgley revealed that he has signed the contract for 6 years, so they could do two more if they wanted to. Considering this, it is likely that there will be season 5 of You.

When will You season 5 release?

Until Netflix confirms that You is returning with its fifth installment, we do not know anything regarding it. However, if we were to make an educated guess, we would take into consideration the gap between the release of previous seasons. Given that the series has maintained the range of one year to two years of gap, we can expect the season 5 towards the end of 2024. Although, it is still unknown if the series will be released in one or two parts.
