1. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story
It has been two years since Bridgerton premiered and the series is already getting its spinoff series called Queen Charlotte. As the name suggests, the spinoff series will foray into the character of Queen Charlotte and act as a prequel to mother series, Bridgerton. The spinoff will focus on the event which turned Queen Charlotte into Queen Charlotte. Statistically, Bridgerton is one of the most-watched shows of Netflix Original shows, which has been renewed for season 4. The official synopsis for the limited series reads, “Centered on Queen Charlotte… prequel tells the story of how young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift.”
2. The Fall of the House of Usher
The series is expected to be the best work by Mike Flanagan. The Fall of the House Usher is expected to compensate for the wave of disappointment caused by The Midnight Club and will regain the lost throne for Flanagan. The reports by What’s On Netflix have suggested that the series will feature a lot of familiar face from the previous projects of Flanagan which includes Kate Siegel, Rahul Kohli, Zach Gilford, and Henry Thomas.
3. Avatar: The Last Airbender
Influenced by anime, the American series is described as one of the best-animated series created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, with production in the hands of Nickelodeon Animation Studio. According to DigitalFX, the show will premier sometime in 2023.
The official synopsis has revealed that the series has set in an Asiatic war-torn world where certain people can bend on of the four elements – water, air, earth, or fire. The series feature Aang, who is the Avatar and the only one who can bend all the elements. He is destined to bring peace to world from the Fire Nation.
4. The Three-Body Problem
Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss is back with The Three-Body Problem series which can resurrect them from the disappointment of the final series of GOT. The series is based on book by Chinese author Liu Cixin, it expected to release in 2023.
The official synopsis of the series reveals that the plot is set against the backdrop of China’s Cultural Revolution, a secret military project sends signals into space to establish relation with the aliens. The signal is caught by an alien civilization who is on the verge on destruction and plans to invade Earth. Meanwhile, on Earth, different camps starts forming and planning to either to welcome the superior being allow them to take over the world or fight against the invasion.
5. One Piece
One Piece has a 25-year long publication history with over 1060 chapters of the manga, it is celebrated as one of the longest running and most beloved fictional franchises from Japan. Adaption of the series created by Steven Maeda and Matt Owens, the most anticipated live-action series is considered as Netflix’s most ambitious venture till date.
