Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches renewed for season 2: Alexandra Daddario starrer gain record viewers
Mayfair Witches which is a part of Anne Rice Immortal Universe has already been renewed for its season two. AMC knows a hit when it sees one, with just four episodes into the first season, Alexandra Daddario starrer is renewed for its second installment.
Just four episodes into the first season and AMC has already renewed the series for its second season. This does not come as a surprise as the series has successfully planted love spell on all its viewers. It is an addition to the Rice-universe which includes another TV show Interview With The Vampire. The fellow series received its approval for second season, even before it premiered its pilot episode. Interview With The Vampire now sits at the top of most watched series of AMC+ within just 30 days of its release.
Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches is taken from the chapters of Rice’s beloved trilogy, Lives Of The Mayfair Witches, and also stars Alexandra Daddario who plays the role of Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon. Her life seems pretty simple for a young medical genius until she steps in some supernatural world discovering that she is next heir in line to a family of powerful witches. The series also stars Jack Huston, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa, Annabeth Gish and Beth Grant.
What to expect from season 2 of Anne Rice’s The Mayfair Witches?
As the first season the series is still running, it is quite difficult to predict what’s in store for us. However, executive producer Esta Spalding in an official statement while announcing the renewal stated that they have only begin to explore the “sumptuous epic tale” of the family of witches. Further ahead, Spalding thanked the fans and viewers for the response the series has received.
