The time has come to bid adieu to out favourite series The Crown. The final season of series is still in its production phase which would make it difficult to release soon.

The Crown has left its fans anticipating for the sixth season as it ended the finale episode “Decommissioned” of the fifth season on a cliffhanger. The viewers saw that after heightened public scrutiny Charles forges a new alliance in Hong Kong, and Mohamed Al-Fayed offers his support to newly divorced Diana. The audience is now eager to learn how the story will further unfold.

Sadly, the viewers will have to wait for a little longer as the series will not be returning to the Netflix anytime soon. We have compiled a brief summary on when to expect and what to expect from the upcoming sixth and final season of The Crown.

When will The Crown Season 6 premier on Netflix?

The fans will have to be patient as the season is not hitting the streaming service this month, February 2023. We would like to bring to notice that the official release dates are yet to be announced. But if we have to make an educated guess, it would be towards the end of the year, 2023. Given that the series is currently under production stage and the assumption that Netflix will release the final season in 2023, we guess it should be late months of the current year.

The Crown Season 6: What to expect in final season?

Earlier in October 2022, it was reported that the sixth season will film the events just before and after the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, Paris. It also came to our notice that the last season will also cover the Queen’s reign into the 21st century. It was announced by Netflix in July 2020 that the series will have six seasons as originally planned. Morgan, in an statement, stated that the season six was decided while they were writing the season five. It is due to the fact that they believe that the final two seasons were required “to cover the same period in greater detail” which will provide “justice to the richness and complexity of the story.”
