The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 is not coming out in February 2023, might have to wait till 2024

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is one of the most expensive series to be ever made in the history of television. The show is set during the Second Age of Middle-earth, thousands of years before Frodo takes on the mission with Sam in the movie Lord of the Rings, most people familiar with. The first season received mixed reaction from the audience but Amazon is giving it another go.

When will The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power release?

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power most definitely will not come out in February 2023. Odds have it that the season two might not hit the streaming service through out the year and we might have to wait for sometime even in 2024. While the series is confirmed for its return, we guess that it is the editing which is taking up most time. The viewers are aware that it requires editing such as VFX effects in almost every scene which can be a lengthy process.

In the meantime, the fans do not have to be disappoint. While The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series is not coming any time soon on Amazon Prime Video, its rival Netflix has streamed the three movies based on The Lord of the Rings. The trilogy by Peter Jackson is available on the streaming giant.

Considering the iffy start the series had, its better to re-watch the Peter Jackson’s trilogy – The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King.

Also, Amazon will be airing its The Wheel of Time later this year. So one way or another, they will be serving us with fantasy this year.
