The Peripheral: Prime Video confirms renewal of second season for Chloe Grace Moretz starrer
Prime Video confirms the return of The Peripheral with its second installment.
Prime Video has officially renewed The Peripheral for its second season. The series is based on novel by William Gibson of the same name and stars Chloe Grace Moretz. It is backed by Amazon Studios and Warner Bros. Television, in association with Kilter Films. The first season premiered in October on the streaming network and debuted in more than 240 countries and territories.
The Peripheral follows the story of a woman named Flynne Fisher, played by Moretz, who is trying to hold together the broken pieces of her family in a forgotten corner of tomorrow’s America. She is smart, ambitious and dooomed at the same time. Flynne has no future, until the future comes asking for her.
Along with her, the first season also starred Jack Reynor from Midsommar, Gary Carr from The Deuce, Eli Goree from One Night in Miami…, Louis Herthum from Westworld, JJ Field from TURN: Washington’s Spies, T’Nia Miller from The Haunting of Bly Manor, Charlotte Riley from Peaky Blinders, Alexandra Billings from The Conners, Alex Hernandez from UnREAL, Julina Moore-Cook from Peaky Blinders, Adelind Horan from The Deuce, Katie Leung from Chimerica, Chris Coy from The Deuce, Melinda Page Hamilton from Messiah and Austin Rising from Alt.
In a statement, Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, Kilter Films stated that they are grateful for the whole team and mostly for the fans as they continue their journey of The Peripheral. It added that the upcoming season will delve deeper into the world created by Gibson.
