Poker Face: Peacock announces renewal of series for second installment

Peacock gives greenlight for season two for Poker Face.

Rian Johnson’s Poker Face has been renewed for a second season at Peacock.

The season one is currently streaming on the network with new episodes every week till March 9. The case-of-the-week mystery series stars Natasha Lyonne and hails from MRC and T-Street. The next week’s episode, titled The Orpheus Syndrome has been co-written and directed by Lyonne.

The series follows the character of Lyonne, who apparently have an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop, she encounters a new cast and a new crime, which she cannot help but involve herself to solve it.

In a statement Susan Rovner, Chairman, Entertainment Content, NBCUniversal Televisiona and Streaming, has shared the despite the show being one of those where you just fall in love with its content undeniably, the response it has garnered from viewers and the critical acclamation is something “beyond [their] wildest dreams.” Further talking about the renewal she shared her excitement of working with Rian Johnson, Natasha Lyonne and Ram Bergman.

Apart from Lyonne, the season one featured roster of guest stars including Angel Desai, Andrien Brody, Benjamin Bratt, Audrey Corsa, Charles Melton, Chelsea Frei, Brandon Michael Hall,, Chloe Sevigny, Cherry Jones, Colton Ryan, Clea DuVall, Danielle MacDonald, David Castaneda, Dascha Polanco, Hong Chau, Ellen Barkin, Jameela Jamil, Jack Alcott, Jasmine Aiyana Garvin, Leslie Silva, Judith Light, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Megan Suri, Niall Cunningham, Luis Guzman, Lil Rel Howery, Nicholas Cirillo, Nick Nolte, Reed Birney, Rowan Clanchard, Rhea Perlman, Ron Perlman, Shane Paul McGhie, S.
