Queen Charlotte: Bridgerton spinoff series bags it release date at Netflix

Netflix announces release date for Queen Charlotte, a spinoff series for Bridgerton. Will the series premier before the release of its flagship series season?

Bridgerton fans who have been missing all those beautiful dresses and glamorous balls won’t have to wait much longer as its spinoff series is expected to arrive even before the upcoming season of its flagship series. Netflix has announced that its series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will premier on the streamer on May 4, 2023.

For the series which celebrates love, the announcement was made as a part of a special Bridgerton Valentine’s Day event. The show features Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte, India Amarteifio as Young Queen Charlotte, Corey Mylchreest as Young King George, Arsema Thomas as Young Lady Danbury along with recurring appearanes of Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury and Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton. Netflix has also teased its audience with new pictures from the upcoming series which hints at what we can expect from the spinoff.

The pictures are mostly focused on the early days of Queen Charlotte and King George which showcases their young days of romance and her early days as Queen. The pictures also featured the intimidating Princess Augusta, played by Michelle Fairely, who is seen in position we are used to see the queen. The tension between the two is expected to rise as Charlotte marries into the family.
