Viking: Valhalla season 3: When to expect the new episodes of the historical drama?
Viking: Valhalla season 2 released on January 12th and the fans are already eager for the release of its season 3. While Netflix has not shared any determined date, one Frida Gustavsson has revealed the details over the filming.
Just a few weeks back, Netflix released the second season of Viking: Valhalla, but the fans are already eager for the upcoming seasons. The historical drama series is set more than 100 years back and focuses on the event and adventures of famous Vikings Leif Eriksson, Freydis Eriksdottir, and Harald Sigurdsson.
Vikings: Valhalla season 3: When could the new episodes arrive?
Netflix has not shared any confirmed date as to the release of the season 3. However, we may project on educated guess on when the new season will hit the streaming giant, based on the release dates of its past two seasons.
Season one of Vikings: Valhalla premiered on Netflix in February 2022. It was followed by its second season which made it to the streaming giant in just 11 months i.e. in January 2023. Given that the next season is already confirmed and to have been filmed by the cast and crew, we expect that the season 3 will release sometime around December 2023 or early 2024.
It was recently confirmed by Frida Gustavsson, who plays the role of Freydis, that the season 3 has already been shot. She added, “It’s so good. And I just can’t wait for the world to see it. But you’re gonna have to wait a little bit longer!”
Which cast members to return in Vikings: Valhalla season 3?
We won’t give away any spoilers but with the show’s fair share of death, it is quite evident on who won’t be reprising their role for the upcoming season. That being said, we can say it with surety that our favourite Viking trio – Freydis (Frida Gustavsson), Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), and Harald (Leo Suter) – are to return in season three.
